Pre-Op

Tuesday was my pre-operative assessment. Not had this as an outpatient before, so didn't realise it involved an ECG, blood tests and a 45-minute interview. Luckily, my new tumbler keeps water cold enough that I have increased my fluid intake, so the blood test was taken from my arm, and it was an easy draw.

Thanks to some friends, I didn't have to navigate the buses, etc., and rocked up early. It was all done so quickly, thankfully, as I had only managed two hours' sleep that night.

Afterwards, my friends took me to Lidl to sweep up some super cheap vegetables, 2kg of potatoes for 15p, 1kg carrots, parsnips, a swede and some spring onions. I had intended to prep them, but was so exhausted, I went to bed.

Just as I was in that zone of thoughts having run out and about to lose consciousness, the phone rang. It was the hospital asking me to come in for a CT scan the next day, as they had cancellations. Hit up my friends and asked if they were free, again. Fortunately, they were.

Day of CT scan, and it's bucketing down, so I was grateful to have a ride back to the hospital. Rocked up early again. Straight in, canula inserted, scan done. Even though the formulation has changed, I still get overheated, and a bit dizzy, and nauseated afterwards. The fact that I had to fast beforehand probably didn't help. The nausea lasted well into the evening.

We popped into Home Bargains and I found the face wash I can't find online anymore, and it was discounted, so that was a win.

Once again, the veg hasn't been prepped, but I hope to complete that today.

Rather busy mid-week for me, and I'm shattered.
